Dec 18, 2006 : NYC Connect Expands Data Center
📅 - Data center operator and colocation provider NYC Connect (nyc-connect.com) reported last week that it will expand its meet-me-room within the 111 Eighth Avenue technology building.
The company says the expansion will provide telecommunications carriers and enterprises with a better managed space for connecting their networks. Along with standard colocation cabinets, NYCC has expanded its product line to include custom cages within the facility.
"We are committed to investing in the expansion of our facility to further benefit our customers," says Tesh Durvasula, chief operating office of NYCC. "The opening of our fourth facility marks a major achievement in the development of NYCC. We are thankful to our customers, who continue to be the fuel behind our growth and we are pleased to offer them even more opportunities to grow their businesses."
NYCC says the 8,000 square feet of expanded space will offer customers the opportunity to connect with its community of ISP and carrier customers, including Equinix and Telehouse, as well as with other technology tenants of 111 Eighth Avenue.
According to the company, three service providers have already reserved space in NYC Connect's expanded capacity, which is scheduled for completion this month.
