The award recognizes Aplus.Net as the top Web hosting provider in terms of Web speed. The Web host also received the RealMetrics award for shared hosting uptime in October, and, as of December 12, came in first place on the RealMetrics list for both shared hosting and dedicated hosting.
RealMetrics results are based on actual accounts set up with Web hosts, with Web speeds tested every 30 minutes from five different locations across the United States. Uptime is tested by frequent loading of the account's http address every 30 seconds. Support response time is also monitored by submitting a weekly support ticket. More than 110,000 tests per day are performed on real shared hosting accounts.
