180servers (180servers.com -> hostinger.com), a provider of self-managed dedicated hosting, announced last week that it has purchased the industry leading Ubersmith DE control panel to be their primary server management tool. The company states that this will improve its operational efficiency behind the scenes and will give the customer a robust tool-set.

The company explains that using Ubersmith DE, users will be able to see the hardware specifications of their servers right down to the type of raid card installed. They will also be able to view bandwidth graphs and control the power of each server, as well as being able to turn servers off or reboot them. It adds that it also offers each self-managed client a new feature called "Service Metrics," which lets users setup alerts to manage server CPU, hard drive, memory, load and IO usage.

"We are very excited about adding Ubersmith DE to our operations," 180Servers Chief Executive Officer Rodney Giles said in a statement. "This was a easy decision to make with Ubersmith DE after seeing how much this will improve both our operating efficiency and our customers ability to take more control of their servers."
