📅 March 6, 2009 - Global networking solution provider Cisco (cisco.com) has announced new line of managed, hosted and hybrid hosted email security services, giving businesses demand greater agility and flexibility in how they collaborate by filtering malicious messages and and spam emails, which account for approximately 90 percent of the world's email traffic.

According to the company's announcement this week, Cisco's IronPort Email Security (ironport.com) services are aimed at providing them with the industry's most versatile set of email protection offerings, giving users complete choice and control over where their email security is deployed and managed, whether it be on premise, off-site, in the cloud or a combination of the three.

According to Cisco's latest annual security report, revealed spam accounts for nearly 200 billion messages a day, costing businesses greatly. Cisco's IronPort Hosted Email Security, Hybrid Hosted Email Security and Managed Email Security services give businesses the ability to choose the email security solution that meets their unique needs.

IronPort Hosted Email Security Solution is delivered via a dedicated email infrastructure securely and privately hosted in a network of Cisco data centers. IronPort Hybrid Hosted Email Security Solution combines the benefits of on-premise and cloud-based solutions, giving users inbound traffic control in the cloud, and outbound controls such as data-loss prevention and encryption can be handled on the customer's premise. Cisco IronPort Managed Email Security Service is a service in which Cisco email security experts remotely manage and monitor customers' email infrastructure
