Feb 13, 2007 : Peak 10 Adds Richmond Facility

📅 February 13, 2007 - Data center operator and managed services provider Peak 10 (peak10.com -> flexential.com) announced on Monday it has expanded its geographic reach into Richmond, Virginia by purchasing Web hosting provider bayMountain (baymountain.com -> hostinger.com).

This marks Peak 10's tenth data center property. Peak 10 says the purchase, for an undisclosed amount, is in line with the company's plan to grow through both acquisitions and internal growth.

"The company's people and facilities are world class and the Richmond market is strong and growing," says David Jones, CEO of Peak 10. "Moreover, there are strong business links between Richmond and our other markets."

Peak 10 also recently announced it plans to more than double its Jacksonville, Florida operation by adding a second data center to support the company's rapid growth in Florida.

The announcement comes off the heels of last week's opening of Peak 10's second data center in Tampa.

The 15,400 square foot data center brings the company's total Tampa data center space to more than 30,000 square feet.

According to the press release, DunnhumbyUSA "collects and stores customers' buying data to help retailers make competitive pricing decisions and enhance customer relationships and loyalty."

The completion of the 15,400 square-foot facility will bring Tampa's total data center footprint to more than 30,000 square feet.
