The newly designed CrystalTech website follows a recent trend by web hosting providers, including Server Intellect, Host Color, and Network Solutions, who have all launched new websites in the past month.
The company says its newly designed website retains the same "intuitive structure and focus on customer service" as its previous site, but now incorporates a "cleaner, simpler layout" that enables users to locate information in fewer steps. "It's often easy for web hosts to overwhelm consumers with all of the information that comes with part of a hosting service," says Robert Cichon, president and chief operating officer of Newtek Technology Services. "Our goal has always been to effectively manage this type of information and present it to consumers in an easy-to-use, easy-to-navigate fashion; and we accomplish this with our new site design." The new navigation features include a new menu bar and the ability to click through fewer pages to locate information regarding hosting plan details, contact information, technical specifications, and ordering. After performing market research, CrystalTech said it determined that the content of its website needed to to be catered the technically savvy, such as IT professionals and web developers, while remaining accessible to everyday consumers, such as small business owners. CrystalTech also unveiled a new corporate logo, which can also be found on the new website. Like the website, the logo retains the familiar look of its predecessor, but incorporates some major enhancements to the design.
Last month, CrystalTech began offering new virtual private server plans powered by Microsoft virtualization platform Hyper-V for pre-order in anticipation of the August 4 launch.
