📅 July 31, 2008 - Web hosting provider MaximumASP (maximumasp.com ) announced on Thursday it has partnered with Quest Software (quest.com) to offer Quest LiteSpeed for SQL Server to provide backups available for SQL Server.

The enhancement of services in the MaximumASP supplemental SQL support package will provide users with greater performance, more flexibility and strengthened security.

Upgrading to Quest LiteSpeed's supplemental SQL support package with will increase backup speed, add a centralized view of backups and restores and reduce backup size by on average of 75 to 90 percent or better.

The use of LiteSpeed increases disk space and process efficiency while greatly reducing server load.

"Quest LiteSpeed for SQL Server provides another great incentive for our customers to get the most out of their hosting services with MaximumASP, says Sarah Barela, manager of database services at MaximumASP. "We like to stay one step ahead with the latest technology to give our customers the tools and benefits necessary to maintain a competitive edge."

Quest Software's LiteSpeed for SQL Server is a backup and recovery product that features a low impact, high performance compression technology.

The solution enables companies to reduce storage costs and backup/recovery windows, while maintaining complete control over the backup and recovery process. Recover individual database objects and encapsulate a complete database restore into a single file to speed up restore times.

MaximumASP provides Microsoft Windows-based hosting services that combine advanced monitoring and management tools, to more than 48,000 domains for customers in over 60 countries.

Earlier this month, MaximumumASP released Microsoft Hyper-V technology as a hypervisor-based virtualization system addition to its dedicated server line-up.
