Jun 3, 2008 : Future Hosting Expands VPS Service
📅 - Web hosting provider Future Hosting (futurehosting.biz -> futurehosting.com -> nexcess.net), which recently joined data recovery solutions provider R1Soft's Hosting Partner Program, announced on Tuesday it has expanded its virtual private server offerings and will begin providing VPS services from a Washington, DC facility.
Future Hosting says with this new offering, it will be able to better target customers with connectivity needs along the East coast of the US. This Washington, DC site also offers more direct data paths to Internet service providers in South America and Europe, says the company.
"The vastly increased international scope of our virtual private servers has proven to be a phenomenally successful strategic asset for our company, and today's addition will allow us to further serve enterprises and Fortune 500 companies," says Vik Patel, president and CEO of Future Hosting. "The enhanced data transit and security opportunities at this new facility provide a variety of attractive and competitive opportunities to both prospective and existing clients."
All introductory plans include SA-SCSI disk space and the choice of either a cPanel or Plesk-based management platform. Plans also come with Server Doctor, Future Hosting's "revolutionary system that provides a proactive approach to maintaining virtual private servers," and Future Protect, the company's data protection service.
Pricing for the VPS plans in Washington will share the same pricing structure as plans hosted from the four other locations serviced by the company, says Future Hosting, including Dallas, Chicago, Seattle and the UK. Prices start at $34.95 per month.
In other recent VPS announcements, managed hosting provider Verio reported on Tuesday it has launched a newly packaged VPS offering, VPS Starter Plans.
