📅 March 26, 2008 - Web hosting provider MaximumASP (maximumasp.com ) announced on Wednesday it has opened its new data center in Chicago, Illinois.

The new data center will provide a range of IT infrastructure services, including off-site disaster recovery for the existing Louisville, Kentucky location, customer colocation services, managed private customer networks and managed security services designed to meet the increasing needs of enterprise IT customers.

The facility will also provide SAN-to-SAN data replication via a private connection, enabling customers to restore backup data in two locations, both of which offer rapid-restore capabilities.

The design and implementation of the new facility enables customers to have off-site data retention and backup capabilities without the complications associated with keeping data synchronized between locations.

"This expansion was a no-brainer for us and was driven by customer demand and a need for a separate new high-power-density location," said Wade Lewis, MaximumASP's Managing Partner. "We are very proud of what this data center has to offer to our customers, and are equally proud of the efficiency and redundancy of the design."

Combining monitoring and management tools, MaximumASP provides hosting solutions to more than 48,000 domains for customers in over 60 countries.
