👈 Official Responses: 0) announced on Tuesday that it has acquired privately-owned Web host and Internet services provider Infinity AccessNET (iaxs.net) for an undisclosed amount.
Infinity AccessNET will operate under the brand VISI and its client base of over 1,000 customers, which include firms from small local businesses to Minnesota-based Fortune 500 corporations, will join VISI's current base of 10,000 business and residential customers.
According to the company's press release, this acquisition will add $1 million in annual revenue for VISI.
In an official statement on its website, Infinity AccessNET explains to its customers that it was looking for a growth opportunity for its customers and employees and after meeting with VISI, it determined that the hosting provider was heading in a direction that made sense for all parties involved.
"In short, this acquisition only means improvements for you," says Infinity AccessNet in the statement. "VISI's service is well-known throughout the Twin Cities and we intend to leverage their expertise and capabilities to better serve you. Initially, you won't notice more than the introduction of the new VISI logo on your statements. You can still call us at our Infinity AccessNET numbers, still work with the same experts you know and appreciate, and still find us on the Web at iaxs.net. Over a period of time, we'll transition out the Infinity AccessNET name and only go by VISI. We'll keep you up-to-date every step of the way."
Most of Infinity AccessNET's employees will be moved to the new 50,000 square foot Eden Prairie facility that VISI purchased last month, which will also serve as VISI's new headquarters and future data center location. Other employees will be moved to VISI's current SAS 70 Type II data center located at 180 East 5th Street in downtown St. Paul.
