📅 - Data center services provider Internap Network Services (internap.com -> inap.com) announced on Wednesday it has named Tim Sullivan chief technology officer. Sullivan brings over 20 years of industry knowledge and expertise in networking, Internet technology and related application areas, and will lead the Internap engineering and information technology teams.
"Tim will ensure that Internap continues to deliver end-to-end technologies that make the Internet better for business," says James P. DeBlasio, CEO for Internap. "This is an exciting time for Internap and we look forward to his leadership in further enhancing our position as a leading technology company."
Sullivan previously served as president and CEO as well as one of the founders of CebaTech, whose compiler technology produces hardware designs and improves time to market from existing software implementations. Responsible for product development, Sullivan says he hopes to grow Internap's portfolio through a "forward-looking-work" approach that creates a competitive advantage through collaboration and innovation.
He has also served in several leadership positions at various telecommunication companies, including product development and marketing leadership roles in IBM's Data Networking business, VP of Northern Telecom, which is now Nortel, founder, CEO and president of Connectware and president of Lucent's Optical Networking Group.
