Jan 4, 2008 : EnActen Acquires Web Host Alentus

📅 January 4, 2008 - Web hosting equity firm EnActen (enacten.com) announced on Thursday it has completed the acquisition of Canadian dedicated and shared hosting provider Alentus (alentus.com ). At the time of the transaction, Alentus reported more than 107 consecutive months of profitable operations.

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner that focuses on premium Windows based hosting services, Alentus provides dedicated services to thousands of customers including Fortune 500 firms such as Coca-Cola, Intel, Kellogg's, Sheraton Hotels, Fidelity Investments, and departments of the United States and Canadian governments.

Alentus offers a range of hosting services to enterprise services such as managed converged voice, unified messaging, WAN connectivity, colocation and dedicated Internet connectivity solutions. Once the transaction is completed, EnActen says it will effect a name change to Alentus.

📅 Apr 23, 2008 - Alentus Acquires Two Web Hosts - Web hosting provider Alentus (alentus.com ), which is owned by Web hosting equity firm EnActen, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Linux-based Web hosting providers Website Source (websitesource.com ) and SpeedFox (speedfox.com -> websitesource.com). The financial details of the cash and stock transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 1998 and based in Austin, Texas, Website Source and its subsidiary SpeedFox, which was founded in 2002, offer Linux-based shared hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated servers, e-commerce and domain registration services.
