Qwest has also signed Fox Interactive Media, an asset of News Corporation, as an anchor customer in the new facility that will utilize more than 20 Gbps of public IP bandwidth.
The newest center has 85,000 square feet of space and enables Qwest to offer individual customers 10 Gbps of fully managed Internet ports. The facility offers the full suite of Qwest CyberCenter solutions, including colocation, operating systems, application and data base monitoring and management, storage management and business protection services.
Qwest has opened two new CyberCenter facilities in 2007 in response to customer demand and now operates 15 CyberCenters nationwide with direct access to the company's state-of-the-art fiber-optic network.
"Demand for Qwest's CyberCenters continues to increase as more companies require significant bandwidth and secure infrastructure services for hosting business applications and Web-based technologies," says Tom Richards, executive VP of business markets for Qwest. "The opening of this center, our third in the Denver area, demonstrates our ability to scale quickly to meet the growing market demand."
Last month, Qwest signed a multi-million dollar agreement with data center operator i/o Data Centers to create a faster and more secure data storage facility.
