May 4, 2001 : REBAR Acquires TellSoft Technologies

📅 May 4, 2001 - REBAR LLC (rebarco.com), a technology operating and holding company with a global portfolio worth more than $1 billion, announced on Thursday that it had acquired TellSoft Technologies (tellsoft.com), a leading application service provider of rich-media outsourcing solutions.

With the acquisition, REBAR adds TellSoft to its existing group of technology holdings, which includes Corporate Software, a leading sales and marketing engine to Global 2000 companies and provider of software asset management solutions; Shaman Corporation, an Internet-based sales engine designed to provide IT management tools and services to the small and mid-sized markets; and several other start-up companies.
TellSoft says that as part of the REBAR family of businesses, the company has increased its access to established channels and business opportunities.
According to REBAR, the company's holdings have more than 15 offices worldwide, and a combined reach into nearly 130 countries worldwide. The company says the acquisition will also give TellSoft the opportunity to extend its reach into servicing the Web-based communications needs of businesses worldwide.
TellSoft's iTalkServices bring a comprehensive suite of streaming media content creation and delivery solutions for business communication. The iTalkServices are designed to allow anybody to use a telephone to deliver online presentations, conduct webcasts, create and publish voice content on any Web site and send voice email messages. The iTalkServices include iTalkSlides live Internet presentations, iTalkLive live Internet broadcasting, iTalkWeb voice Web publishing and iTalkMail voice email messaging.
