Founder of DIGEX Web Hosting Joins ServerVault Board of Directors

servervault.com logo📅 - Managed hosting company and security experts ServerVault (ServerVault.com) today announced that Doug Humphrey, founder of now-public hosting company DIGEX, had joined the company's Board of Advisors.
Humphrey served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer at DIGEX from 1991 to 1997. The company went public in 1996 and was acquired by Intermedia Communications in July 1997. Humphrey is also the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Cidera, Inc., a provider of satellite-based delivery of broadband content.
ServerVault is well-known for operating a commercial data center built to exceed the stringent physical security standards that are typically only applied to sensitive government buildings. The company's customers include Ford Motor Company, United Way and The Carlyle Group.
"Doug accepts very few offers for board positions," said Patrick Sweeney, President and CEO of ServerVault. "We are flattered that given his business and technical vision, he believes so much in our strategy and execution."
