Apr 19, 2002 : ServerVault Acquired by Financial Firm

📅 April 19, 2002 - Fort Washington Capital Partners, a Cincinnati-based financial firm, said this week it had acquired the assets of Dulles, Virginia-based ServerVault (ServerVault.com), a secure managed hosting provider.

Fort Washington said the investment was made in partnership with the current ServerVault management team and employees. Aside from now being ServerVault's sole outside equity investors, the financial firm said it would be able to bring "significant financial resources" to ServerVault that would allow it to execute a strategy based on both acquisition and organic growth.
"This deal is a huge win for our clients," said Patrick Sweeney, ServerVault's President and CEO. "While the transaction was completely seamless to our customers, we now have additional resources to reinvest in our technology and bring further innovative services to our clients. Our customers will also enjoy peace of mind knowing their data is being protected by a cash-flow positive, growing, financially stable company."
ServerVault operates the only commercially available Internet Data Center built to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) standards set by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
