Jul, 2001 : vFirm Launches Application Suite For Small Business

📅 - vFirm Systems, Inc (vfirm.com) announced yesterday the launch of the vWebTop, a suite of web-based business applications offering small business professionals a hassle-free alternative to purchasing and hosting applications themselves.

By partnering with leading web-based application providers like Opendesk, Elite, Punch Networks and OnProject, vFirm has established a collaborative groupware suite with email, contacts, and chat along with specialty applications like billing and project management. vFirm says this will allow firms to quickly set up a secure, fully integrated, virtual network that gives co-workers access to their information anytime, anywhere.
Professional service firms need to network their employees to share data, increase communications, and increase efficiency. "But all too often, these firms experience frustration, misinformation, and compatibility headaches, not to mention the immense amount of time invested in educating themselves on the technology and software -- time that could have been better spent servicing (and billing) their clients," says Ray Jones, CEO of vFirm. "vFirm's offering eliminates this wasted effort, enabling small business professionals to spend more time focusing on customers and generating revenue."
"Using our patent-pending vWebTop business platform, a firm can select from a variety of web-based applications to quickly create an integrated and customized web network in under 30 minutes," says Tommy Blanchard, VP of business development. "The vWebTop eliminates the frustration associated with building and running your own in-house network."
vFirm's application suite will initially offer groupware (email, planner, chat, news posting), time and billing, document sharing, and project management. These applications provide are targeted at small to medium size firms, particularly within the legal and consulting industries. vFirm will add additional applications over the coming months and will partner with associations, content and service providers to offer the platform in a private-label format.
Individual firms can visit the vFirm corporate site to sign up for the branded product.
