Jul, 2001 : Reliant Selected By Aspect LP to Provide Managed Services

📅 July 18, 2001 - Reliant Energy Communications, Inc (reliantenergycommunications.com), a leading Texas-based provider of complex web hosting services in, has been selected to provide managed Internet hosting and security services for Aspect, LP (aspect-risk.com), a provider of Internet-based financial risk management systems.

Under the agreement, Reliant Energy Communications will provide Aspect with managed web, database and application servers, managed firewall and virtual private network solutions, plus intrusion detection services.
"Reliant's network and system design is critical for our network, equipment and databases, and ensures maximum redundancy, performance and scalability," said David Eiler, chief technology officer for Aspect.
Aspect provides its users with a suite of Internet-based financial risk management tools based on its vast experience in financial and commodities risk management.
Reliant monitors its network for performance and uptime from a secure control center. Reliant's Internet data centers in Houston and Austin are custom designed with raised floors, HVAC temperature control systems with separate cooling zones, and private, locked racks.
