InsideOut Selects Metromedia for Co-location and Optical IP
📅 - InsideOut Technologies, Inc. (insideouttech.com), a provider of intelligent electronic business networks and services, has selected Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc. (mmfn.com) to provide co-location services and an optical IP network to support its Web-based infrastructure and client services.
InsideOut will use MFN's Internet Service Exchange facility in McLean, Va., to host InsideOut's business networks. The three-year agreement with MFN allows InsideOut to provide consistent site performance and the highest level of security for its growing customer base; financial services institutions, insurance and telecom enterprises that need a protected, highly efficient system for accepting and transmitting sensitive data from multiple sources.
InsideOut selected MFN because of its high security standards, including multiple levels of redundancy in an effort to withstand natural disasters, security breaches (physical and cyber), power outages, and networking and computing failures. Features include a superior cooling system, an advanced Continuous
Power Supply system that protects against degraded commercial power and interruptions, a Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm, biometric authentication, and round-the-clock surveillance.
Additionally, InsideOut says it was impressed with MFN's global optical IP backbone, which can transport large amounts of data at terabit speed with virtually unlimited bandwidth capacity.
"The advanced security measures within MFN's ISX facilities, combined with the scalability and redundancy of our IP infrastructure, will allow InsideOut to create a reliable online network for credit and risk management related transactions," said Mark Spagnolo, president of MFN Internet Solutions.
