📅 - Level 3 Communications, Inc. (level3.com) today announcedit has signed a new one-year agreement to provide co-location and IPservices to Directv Broadband, Inc (directvbroadband.net), a leadingnationwide provider of home broadband services.
Under the terms of the agreement, DIRECTV Broadband purchased Level 3's(3)Center Colocation and (3)CrossRoads IP services in Seattle and is nowusing both to serve its customers in multiple US markets. "Our robust Internet access and colocation services provide the type of lowcost, high-quality support essential to DIRECTV Broadband's rapid expansioninto new markets," said Mike Knaisch, senior vice president of globalstrategic markets for Level 3. "The Northwest is an area with untapped potential for us, and ourpartnership with Level 3 enables us to support our growing customer base inthat region of the country with a more direct connection into our networkbackbone,'" said Robert Sandor, DIRECTV's senior vice president ofoperations.
