(micromuse.com), a leading provider of realtime fault management and service assurance software, yesterday announced that Hutchison GlobalCenter (hgctr.com), one of Asia's largest providers of managed hosting services and e-business solutions, has implemented the Netcool suite.

Hutchison GlobalCenter is using Micromuse's flagship Netcool/OMNIbusapplication and the Netcool/Internet Service Monitors suite to provideinformation about the status of data across its fiber-optic network tooperators in Hutchison GlobalCenter's Hong Kong-based network operationcenter.

Hutchison GlobalCenter will use the Netcool suite as a central managementsolution to help expand network availability and service quality, as well asto provide reliable, realtime monitoring of its internal systems, serversand infrastructure components. The Netcool/OMNIbus suite monitors serverperformance and SNMP data along with the tracking of systems, security andapplication logs. The Netcool/ISMs suite ascertains service-levelperformance and compares this data against predefined service-levelagreements to show performance of various Internet service performancemetrics. Hutchison GlobalCenter is using the Netcool/ISMs suite to monitorseveral different types of device protocols including DNS, HTTP, HTTPS,SNMP, and ICMP.
Working in concert, the Netcool applications gather and consolidate data onthe status of equipment and services, enabling network operations teams tosimultaneously view information from throughout the infrastructure. Thishelps network operators to identify and manage infrastructure problemsbefore they cause applications or services to go down.
