Penguin Computing and Ensim to Deliver Web-Serving Solution

(ensim.com) announced today that they will partner to deliver hosting providers a Web-serving solution that combines Penguin Computing's Relion Linux servers with Ensim's WEBppliance LS. Penguin Computing is a developer of customized, Linux solutions, and Ensim is a leading hosting automation provider.

Penguin Computing is employing its patent-pending STS technologies topre-load Ensim's WEBppliance LS application, delivering advanced virtual andreseller-hosting software for Web hosting providers. WEBppliance LS on thePenguin Computing platform allows for the efficient management and sale ofvirtual domains, and empowers downstream customers with remoteadministration tools.
In addition, Penguin Computing will offer professional services to deploy,setup and tune its Web-hosting solutions, and will provide comprehensivesupport options in cooperation with Ensim.
"Our STS technologies have enabled us to be the first vendor to ship anintegrated solution for our customers using Ensim's WEBppliance LS," saidScott Weinbrandt, VP of sales and marketing for Penguin. The joint solution is a turnkey Web-serving appliance that installs all theservices required for Web hosting and furnishes Web hosting providers with aset of control panels that allow the efficient allocation and management ofdomains, as well as Web and mail servers, FTP server management, scriptingtools, MySQL, and other features.
