📅 August 17, 2001 - AT&T Canada Inc. (attcanada.com), Canada's largest national competitive broadband business services provider and competitive local exchange carrier, yesterday announced the launch of its newest dedicated high-speed access service, Small Office ADSL Internet.

Small Office ADSL Internet supports connectivity for multiple users over asingle access for email and web browsing, offering affordable high-speedInternet connectivity. This dedicated access service is capable of downloadspeeds of up to 4.0Mbps, and upload speeds of up to 640kbps.
"This new dedicated access service is targeted to small Canadian businesseswho require high-speed connectivity to the Internet," said Mike Kologinski,executive VP, marketing. "Small Office ADSL Internet is a highly competitivesolution in the small business marketplace and an ideal upgrade path forexisting customers."
With complete connection to AT&T Canada's high-speed national network, SmallOffice ADSL Internet also offers medium and large sized virtual privatenetwork customers who have telecommuting employees or branch officelocations, the ability to access their LAN through a high-speed connection.
The AT&T Canada Internet network that supports this is designed with fullyredundant Cisco routers connected to a high performance OC192 Sonet fibreoptic infrastructure. The network is configured with multiple, diverse OC12and OC3 links to the largest Internet access providers in North America andthe world.
The service is available in two bundles: Small Office ADSL Internet andSmall Office ADSL Internet with Web Hosting. Each bundle offers up to 15 GBof data transfer per month, static IP address assignment, customer andpremise equipment, including the Cisco 800 series router, plus domain namehosting, ten domain email boxes and one Dial-up account (150 hours permonth). The Web Hosting bundle also includes 10MB of server space connecteddirectly to the company's high-speed network.
