The new products are being piloted in Rochester, NY and Grand Rapids, MI.
The company plans to release the new products throughout its service area bythe end of this year. The EDF product set includes Virtual Private Networkservices that allow businesses with multiple locations to securely connectmultiple locations for high-speed data transmission. The new product setalso includes Network Address Translation which enable computers to connectsimultaneously to the Internet without additional costs, as well as aFirewall Security product that protects electronic files from networkintruders.
All of these products eliminate the need for businesses to purchase,configure, and maintain their own equipment typically associated with theseapplications.
