The company says the new service agreement represents a significant step inMegaPath's business strategy to expand broadband access and supplier optionsbeyond DSL to offer business customers more choice and flexibility.

The new Allegiance suite of broadband services, branded Allegiance LightGuide X-Tension, provides broadband access services with speeds ranging from1.544 Mb to 2.5Gb. The new T-1 service offers customers greater speed atlonger distances, with 1.544 Mbps of dedicated bandwidth. The service isideally suited for SMBs and corporate branch offices that don't qualify toreceive DSL, yet require broadband connectivity for mission-criticalbusiness applications and communications.
