),announced yesterday that it has successfully completed the Statement onAuditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) audit for all Qwest-owned Web hostingCyberCenters. The successful completion of this audit ensures financialinstitutions that Qwest provides reliable and secure environments forconducting online transactions.

SAS 70 Type II, an auditing standard developed by the American Institute ofCertified Public Accountants (AICPA), is a widely recognized standard in thefinancial community because it signifies that a service provider hasprocesses in place to monitor service levels throughout its Web hostingfacility or facilities.
An independent accounting and auditing firm, in this case Ernst and Young,administers the SAS 70 auditing process.
