📅 - Computer Sciences Corporation (csc.com) has been awarded a task order to support efforts by the U.S. State Department Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (state.gov/www/global/prm) to resettle refugees in the United States.
CSC will aid in the management, operation and maintenance of thedepartment's Refugee Processing Center in Rosslyn, Va., and the WorldwideRefugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS).
The time and material task order is valued at $43.7 million if all optionsare exercised over a seven-year period. The general Services Administrationawarded the task order through its Applications 'N Support forWidely-diverse End-user Requirements (ANSWER) contract.

CSC will provide management, staffing, training and operational support forthe Refugee Processing Center and will implement all phases of WRAPS insupport of the bureau's program for the admission and resettlement ofrefugees in the United States.
A team of approximately 40 computer, software, telecommunications andfunctional specialists from CSC and its subcontractors will perform the workin Rosslyn, Va. Teaming with CSC are SI International, Inc., of McLean, Va.,and The Centech Group, Inc., of Arlington, Va., both of which have extensiveexperience in refugee processing projects.
The Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration develops and implementsU.S. policy on international population, refugee and migration matters. Itadvances U.S. humanitarian principles by providing assistance to victims ofpersecution and strife. Its work supports the U.S. foreign policy objectivesof promoting peace, maintaining regional stability, promoting sustainabledevelopment and relieving human suffering.
Through the ANSWER Contract, CSC provides rapid access to high-quality,cost-effective information technology support services for federalagencies. ANSWER greatly reduces startup time, minimizes paperwork and givesclients better control over their projects.
