Nov, 2001 : Springboard Adds Dual OC3 Connections to Data Center
📅 - Springboard Managed Hosting (springboardhosting.com), aNorth Carolina-based, privately held provider of outsourced managed Webhosting, professional services and data center solutions, announcedyesterday that it has signed telecommunication services agreements withSprint (sprint.com) and Cable & Wireless (cw.com).
The agreements provide for the installation of dual OC3 pipes, each of whichwill provide 155 Mbps of capacity.
"We"re increasing bandwidth to meet sales growth," said Chris Hanks,president of Springboard. "After analyzing our sales projections versusactual signed contracts that will take effect in the first quarter of 2002,we are aggressively increasing our bandwidth to meet the growing demands ofour client list."
Springboard will have these new connections provisioned in the latter partof the fourth quarter, 2001, and once operational, Springboard will offerthe fastest connections of any provider in the Triangle.
According to Rob Smith, VP sales and marketing for Springboard, "Thisupgrade enables us to satisfy the bandwidth requirements of current andfuture clients. We recently signed a long term contract with one of theworld's top 20 Internet companies, and we are in final negotiations withseveral other companies with high bandwidth requirements."
