Q9 to Provide Network Services for International Law Firm Robert B. Marks

q9.com logo📅 - Toronto-based co-location firm Q9 Networks (Q9.com -> equinix.com) said today it had signed a contract with Torys (torys.com), a large international law firm with a reputation for acting on high-profile corporate cases, to provide the company with network and Internet services.
The new contract will allow Torys' Toronto-based employees to use Q9's network for their Internet connectivity. The Q9 network is connected to most major Internet backbones, allowing Torys employees to improve the reliability and speed of their online communications and applications. The Q9 network is backed by a Service Level Agreement promising 100% uptime.
"By using Q9, we achieve a number of productivity and reliability improvements, including the elimination of our reliance on a single ISP," said Frank Post, Manager of Network Administration at Torys. "We're counting on Q9's network to significantly improve performance as we are highly dependant on the Internet for communications."
Osama Arafat, CEO of Q9 Networks, said anything less than 100 percent reliability in an industry where productivity is calculated at an hourly rate is unacceptable. "We are delighted to be providing Torys with a level of service that will deliver measurable productivity improvements and greater peace of mind," he said.
