Inovaware Introduces Enhanced Software Development Kit, Prism Interfaces

📅 - Inovaware Corporation (inovaware.com), a developer of billing and customer care software, announced today the release of an enhanced Software Development Kit (SDK) and new interfaces for its Prism platform.

The emergence of new and more sophisticated communication services such aslocation-based services, wireless content, online gaming and others, isforcing service providers to find new ways to price their offerings beyondtraditional parameters. With its service-agnostic rating engine, Prismsupports a variety of usage metrics such as time, bandwidth, disk space, perpacket, etc. To accelerate support of new usage parameters, the enhancedPrism SDK for usage import will permit customers and systems integrators tocreate usage import modules on their own. Primary benefits include fasttime-to-market for innovative pricing models, and self-sufficiency asSDK-created modules effectively behave as an out-of-the-box Prism module, the company says.
With the release of its new Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) andXML-based API, Inovaware is striving to ensure that Prism can moreeffectively integrate with various legacy applications and in-house systems.Traditionally, service providers have had difficulty selecting applicationsthat can effectively "talk" to each other because those systems do notconform to a single set of standards. Lengthy and costly customizationprocesses are usually required, or entirely new applications need to bebuilt.
The new API enables customers to leverage their investment in otherapplications by exposing Prism's business logic within a SOAP/XML framework, resulting in better and faster integration.
"Our overriding goal at Inovaware is to increase the effectiveness anddelivery of our products so that our customers can save time and money whilegaining a higher degree of flexibility," said Bruce Kim, CTO at Inovaware."The enhanced usage SDK and new SOAP/XML interfaces will do just that.Customers and SIs will be able to implement changes within Prism morequickly and more easily than ever before, and fully benefit from smootherintegration of our software solutions with their legacy applications."
