Founded in Sept. 1998, eMachines has shipped more than 4 million personalcomputers through leading retailers in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Franceand Spain, in addition to catalog and online merchandisers. To offer moreconsumers direct access to its products on a global scale, eMachines turnedto WorldCom, with the support of its high-end managed Web and applicationhosting affiliate Digex, to launch its first e-commerce Web site. The securesite will enable customers to purchase eMachines PC products online, withinteractive tools and product comparison information to help consumersselect the best PC for their needs.
