📅 - iLive Inc. (ilive.com) today announced plans to offerconsumer access to the Internet as well as business services such as hostingand video streaming capabilities.

The combined consumer and business service model will allow the company touse their investments in infrastructure and brand while broadening theirrevenue base. iLive management says is confident that the company'sprojected ISP offerings will result in strong long-term operating cash flow.
According to a report by Jupiter Media Metrix, analysts forecast that thenumber of households accessing the Internet via broadband connectivity(cable modem, DSL, satellite, or fixed wireless) will increase from 5.2million in 2000 to 35.1 million in 2006.
Many of these new broadband users will be converted from traditional dial-upconnections. iLive's broadband initiative plans to take advantage of this byproviding both dial-up and broadband connections as well as some of theInternet's best broadband streaming content.
Scott Henricks, the company's president said, "By entering the ISP business,iLive gains the ability to enhance our users online experience whilegenerating additional revenue. The plans allow for the vertical integrationof our business model as we will now take ownership of the user experiencefrom log on to watching one of many exciting shows on the iLive Network."
