Jan 29, 2002 : Volera Selects MFN for Colocation

📅 January 29, 2002 - Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc. (mmfn.com), a provider ofdigital communications infrastructure solutions, will provide colocationservices to Volera Inc. (volera.com), a provider of content networking solutions and a subsidiary of Novell, Inc.

Volera provides a software platform for the high-speed delivery andmanagement of content, including rich-content, e-learning and Webcastingapplications. Under the agreement, Volera will lease colocation space fromMFN in San Jose, Calif., leveraging MFN's optical IP backbone. By owning andcontrolling the underlying infrastructure, MFN has created a comprehensivenetwork that can transport large amounts of information, scale easily andallow customers to bypass the bottlenecks of the public network.
