Jan, 2002 : HP Selects KPNQwest for European ATM Services

📅 January 31, 2002 - In a global corporate networking agreement KPNQwest, a pan-European data communications and hosting company,today announced a migration of Hewlett-Packard Company's Europeannetwork onto the KPNQwest ATM network with links to the USA and Asia. Themulti-million three-year contract with KPNQwest's integrated IP services andEuroRings infrastructure covers the connection of a large number of ATMsites, as well as the provision of IP Transit services.

The ATM network will incorporate sites on KPNQwest's 50-city macro-capacityEuroRings network backbone. As well as the EuroRings connections, KPNQwestwill also connect more distant sites via guaranteed Quality of Serviceconnections. All connections will be made at 155 Mbit/s with highscalability. The network will cover Germany, the UK, France, Switzerland,Italy, Spain, the Nordics, the Baltics and parts of Eastern Europe.
