The advanced health monitoring module proactively verifies functionality andavailability of applications and network elements including applicationservers, databases, firewalls, cache servers and routers. Failures aredetected in realtime and traffic is redirected to healthy resources,providing users with a continual and optimal service.
SynApps' health monitoring module includes predefined and user configurableLayer 2-7 health checks. Administrators can group a set of health checks anddefine them as a logical entity. Next, the advanced health monitoring moduleverifies that all the dependent networking and server resources are healthy.
The module's list of predefined applications and protocols verifies that theapplications and protocols are functioning correctly and its extensiveknowledge base includes information pertaining to errors and relievesadministrators from manually defining expected results of health checks.They are subsequently given the control to create their own scriptedapplication scenarios.
