Mar, 2002 : Shanghai Telecom Selects iCan to Manage IDCs

(icansp.com), a Computer AssociatesInternational, Inc. subsidiary specializing in solutions to align ITresources with business requirements, today announced that ShanghaiTelecommunication Corp. (shanghaitelecom.com.cn), operator of one of China'slargest Internet Data Centers, will use the iCan Provider Suite to managethe delivery of its virtual hosting services. Shanghai Guanghua-CA SoftwareCo., Ltd, an iCan SP authorized partner and technical support center inChina, will implement the project.

Shanghai Telecom's Internet Data Center provides an array of servicesincluding facility management, server co-location, virtual hosting services,value-added services and high-capacity bandwidth connectivity.
By deploying the iCan's service management solution, Shanghai Telecom saysit gains ease and speed of new service deployment, greater servicecustomization, flexible billing features, the ability to brand its servicesto customers and reduce operating costs.
The iCan Provider Suite is a complete service-management solution designedto support service-centric computing. The software enables IT managers tomeasure service usage and allocate costs by user or account, create newservices, monitor and enforce service levels. Components of the iCanProvider Suite include a Web-based data presentation interface, usage reportmeters, billing and provisioning services.
