Digital River Launches Mobile Commerce Store for OfficeMax

📅 April 26, 2002 - E-commerce outsourcing provider Digital River (digitalriver.com) said today it had built and launched a mobile commerce store for OfficeMax, a retail provider of office products.

The mobile commerce store resides within the company's overall site. Aside from building the site, Digital River is also providing transaction management, digital fulfillment, e-marketing, fraud prevention and customer service.
"The launch of this new m-commerce boutique for OfficeMax demonstrates the increasing demand for m-commerce products and services,'' said Joel Ronning, Digital River's CEO. "We are poised to grow in this market and execute our m-commerce strategy because of our strong relationships with software publishers and channel partners, our extensive software library and our world-class outsourcing model. Our model is built to scale and adheres to open standards technology that can meet today's demands for multi-channel e-commerce operations and multiple delivery alternatives."
Founded in 1994, Digital River has 450 employees and more than 13,000 clients that include Symantec, Major League Baseball and Novell.

(kpnqwest.com) said yesterday it would review its 2002 financial guidance in light of deteriorating market conditions. KPNQwest said it believes that revenue for 2002 is likely to be between 1,000 and 1,050 million Euros against previous guidance of 1.3 billion Euros.
