ResellerConnection.com Launches Pay-Per-Click Service for Web Hosts

📅 May 6, 2002 - ResellerConnection.com, a provider of Web hosting reseller resources, today announced the launch of PPCforHosts (ppcforhosts.com), a pay-per-click marketing solution for Web hosting providers.

PPCforHosts allows Web hosting companies to open an account free of charge, and immediately begin to receive advertising exposure through the site's search engine. Increased exposure can then be achieved by bidding for placement in search results.
"Those hosting companies seeking to bolster that exposure may purchase search result placement in a manner similar to the bid-based pay-per-click model used by some of the most prominent general purpose search engines," said founder and CEO Will Smith.
PPCforHosts currently has listings established in three popular hosting categories: shared, dedicated and reseller. The site also includes value-added services to help customers manage their accounts, including a bid limit feature that automates the bidding process and an automated notification function that informs users when their account balance is nearing depletion.
PPCforHosts has also teamed with a number of other resource sites, including W3Schools.com and HostCompare.com, to offer visitors targeted search results.
The site combines "the Web hosting directory model with software to distribute and integrate similar functionality into remote Web sites," Smith said. "PPCforHosts allows Web hosting companies to effectively target potential clients through one centralized service, saving time and resources, and further reducing client acquisition costs."

(Interland.com ), a provider of Web hosting services to small and medium sized businesses, said today it had acquired managed Web hosting company Dialtone Internet.
