📅 - Toronto-based managed services provider Q9 Networks (Q9.com -> equinix.com) said today it had signed a contract with Belzberg Technologies, a financial industry ASP, to provide Internet infrastructure services for the company's North American and European trading network.
Belzberg provides real-time trading solutions to all North American and major European equities exchanges, and all North American options exchanges. The company also provides connectivity to major Nasdaq market makers and Electronic Communication Networks (ECNs). Its software-based solutions also handle a large percentage of the total trading volume on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) and growing volumes on both the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). "Over 150 major financial institutions throughout North America and Europe rely on our trading applications for their daily order executions," says Donald Wilson, Belzberg Technologies' Chief Operating Officer. "Q9's solution gives us the solid reliability and redundancy we need, and provides substantial savings when compared to other options we reviewed."
