Jun, 2002 : Keynote Releases Red Alert 2.0 Transaction Monitoring
📅 - Internet performance management services provider Keynote Systems (keynote.com) announced on Monday, at the opening of its third annual Global Internet Performance Conference, that it has introduced Red Alert 2.0, the latest version of the company's Web transaction monitoring solution.
The Red Alert 2.0 product, says Keynote, is a part of the company's application performance management family of solutions and is sold by its general business division. The product provides visibility and control over transaction systems to operations centers responsible for the systems that run Web transactions.
Red Alert 2.0 immediately sends fault-tolerant alerts when critical Web-based transactions fail, providing network operations centers with the means to immediately address and correct accessibility problems before they can have an impact on the bottom line.
Keynote says Red Alert 2.0 can monitor individual Internet-connected components supporting the transaction, including the Web server and other devices, allowing it to identify specific failure points. Red Alert can send an alert, in the event of a failure, via email, cell phone or pager to the designated contact, with access to error logs indicating where the error occurred.
"The multiple components involved in transactions increase the complexity of diagnosing problems," says Bob Garrity, senior director, Red Alert. "Keynote is bringing transaction monitoring capability to the leading accessibility monitoring service, and thereby ensuring the end-to-end availability of critical transaction systems. Keynote Red Alert 2.0 immediately alerts operations teams to accessibility issues that could impact the ability of their users to complete a critical business transaction, and that could also thereby reduce transaction revenue."
