📅 - UK-based Web hosting and domain registration business 1&1 Internet Ltd. (OneandOne.co.uk -> fasthosts.co.uk) announced on Thursday that it has introduced two new dedicated server offerings, Managed Servers and Root Servers, designed to offer competitive pricing to small businesses and hosting resellers.
The Managed Servers package, says 1&1, is designed to provide customers with a fully managed Web hosting solution, including the administration, monitoring and maintenance. The Root Server products allow users to manage their server directly through their own administrative software.
All of the Root Server packages, says 1&1, come pre-installed with Web hosting management solution Ensim WEBppliance 3.1, the result of an exclusive deal between 1&1 and Ensim in the UK.
Webppliance, says 1&1, offers users a full range of applications and Web-based control panels, making the company's Internet package ideal for hosting resellers.
According to 1&1, the servers are hosted at the company's £7 million data center, which delivers 99.9 percent uptime to all of the 1.4 million sites it hosts through connections to seven different carriers, including Level 3 and Tiscali.
"These are the most competitively priced dedicated server packages available in the UK market today," says Mark Beyer, marketing director for 1&1 Internet. "The dedicated server market can be plagued with hidden costs for unwary users and we are proud to say that all our prices are completely transparent."
