Dec, 2002 : 1&1 Internet Wins Two UK Internet Awards
📅 - UK-based Web hosting provider 1&1 Internet Ltd. (OneandOne.co.uk -> fasthosts.co.uk) announced on Friday that it has won the "Best Consumer Web Host" and "Best Business Web Host" awards at the Future UK Internet Awards for the second consecutive year.
1&1 Internet says it was selected from a competitive market as the most popular UK provider of Web hosting for both business and leisure Web sites.
The awards were consumer driven, says 1&1, with almost 26,000 votes cast between July and October 2002. All nominations were decided by readers of Future Publishing's Internet magazines, including .NET and Internet Advisor.
"We are delighted that we have been voted 'Best Consumer Web Host' and 'Best Business Web Host' in the Awards for the second year running," says Mark Beyer, marketing director for 1&1 Internet. "Whilst the Awards are in themselves prestigious, we are most proud that it was our customers that have produced the results."
