Jun 11, 2007 : tel(x) Names Executive VP and CFO
📅 - Interconnection facilities operator tel(x) (telx.com) announced on Monday it has named Christopher Downie as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Downie has over fifteen years of experience working in finance and telecommunications. He joins tel(x) from broadband wireless communications solutions provider Motient, where he held the positions of executive VP, chief operating officer and principal executive office.
tel(x) is rapidly becoming one of the largest privately-owned operators of interconnection facilities in North America, having recently expanded from 2 to 13 sites in the US. Downie's experience overseeing large-scale financial and operational initiatives will help tel(x) in expanding several of its existing facilities over the coming months and plan for new growth opportunities domestically and abroad.
"I'm excited to bring my experience to bear in such a thriving, growing company," says Downie. "tel(x) is fast becoming the nation's top solutions provider of distinct, private, direct network interconnections - a benefit that will soon be recognized by all major businesses seeking cost-effective communications services."
