Oct, 2002 : F5 Networks, Network Appliance Strike Deal
📅 - Internet traffic management product provider F5 Networks (F5.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Monday that it has formed an alliance with network storage solution provider Network Appliance in order to provide feature rich enterprise content delivery network (ECDN) solutions.
Deploying NetApp content delivery network solutions along with F5's intelligent traffic management products, says F5, customers can increase the efficiency and lower the cost of distributing information across their networks.
A key piece of the alliance, says F5, is a limited-time trade-in program through which f5 EDGE-FX cache customers can replace their existing equipment with Network Appliance NetCache appliances. F5 says the details of the program will be presented directly to qualified customers.
"We're pleased to be working with Network Appliance where, together, we can provide enterprises with a robust, scaleable, and secure ECDN for accelerated and intelligent content delivery," says Jim Ritchings, vice president of business development at F5 Networks. "Our alliance with Network Appliance is an outcome of our recent content management strategy announcement where F5 stated that it would provide ECDN solutions through partnerships with best-of-breed content delivery and data management companies."
