Oct 23, 2002 : WorldCom Debuts Access Monitoring Tool

📅 - Internet communications provider WorldCom (worldcom.com) announced on Wednesday that it has unveiled its WorldCom Dedicated Analysis, an end-to-end dedicated Internet access-monitoring tool for businesses.

WorldCom also announced a new standards-based NxT1 access solution designed to fill the gap between the popular T1 (1.5 Mbps) and T3 (45 Mbps) offerings from its UUNET backbone.
"The launch of WorldCom Dedicated Analysis and our new NxT1 dedicated access solution epitomize WorldCom's unwavering commitment to develop and deliver the kind of innovative services business customers are asking for," says Frank Grillo, WorldCom senior vice president of marketing. "Coming on the heels of the introduction of The WorldCom Connection - our new IP-based converged voice and data network service - these new offerings further solidify WorldCom's position as the source for business communications solutions for companies of every size and shape."
WorldCom Dedicated Analysis offers customers a tool for monitoring their end-to-end Internet network performance at the access level. The monitoring tool will be available to all WorldCom Dedicated Internet Access customers in the fourth quarter of 2002, says the company.
Using new standards-based Multi Link Frame Relay (MLFR) technology, WorldCom says its NxT1 solution enables customers to use from two to eight T1 lines at a single location. Aggregating T1 circuits allows customers to save on local loop costs and increase the flexibility and reliability of their connections. The NxT1 service allows customers connections of up to 12 Mbps.
