📅 October 24, 2002 - Intelligent Internet routing service provider Internap Network Services Corporation (Internap.com -> inap.com) announced on Thursday that it has released its ResorePath data backup and restore service, powered by ManagedStorage International.

Internap says the new offering is consistent with the company's strategy of expanding its portfolio of products to meet its customers? needs. Internap says it has introduced five new products during the past six months, all designed to mitigate risks to its customers.
"With RestorePath, companies can trust that disasters will not impact the critical data needed to operate successfully," says Greg Peters, president and CEO of Internap. "This new service fits well with the overall risk management approach of our business model. Internap is committed to developing even more solutions for our customers to depend on during this period of uncertainty in the industry."
RestorePath, says Internap, stores and protects customers? data at separate secured, hardened and environmentally controlled sites. The service protects customers against unavailability by enabling customers to restore data to another facility.
"MSI is excited to partner with Internap to enable its RestorePath product by delivering the first affordable and guaranteed data protection service on the market," says ManagedStorage president and CEO Tom Sweeney.
