📅 - Security services provider TruSecure Corporation (trusecure.com) announced on Monday that Andrew Briney, editor-in-chief of TruSecure publication Information Security, will be moderating two panels at COMDEX Fall 2002 in Las Vegas, including a special keynote panel.
The keynote panel, says TruSecure, will feature six industry leaders, including the presidents or CEOs of RSA Security, Network Associates Inc. and Internet Security Systems, and will take place November 18 at 3:00 pm. The interactive panel will explore the state of IT security and how risk continues to multiply, threatening Internet connected businesses with damaged or lost data resources. Attendees, says TruSecure, will gain an overview of trends in the security space from the perspective of many of the industry's leaders. Along with the keynote presentation, Briney will moderate a second panel at Comdex, says Truesecure, this one entitled "Who's at the End of the Line? User Authentication Shoot-Out," which will take place November 20, at 2:30 pm.

(nortelnetworks.com) announced on Tuesday that it has won a three-year, $65 million deal to supply network equipment to Cox Communications Inc., the US's fifth-largest cable provider. According to the terms of the agreement, Cox will use Nortel equipment to boost capacity and deliver new serves as it expands its residential and business subscriber bases.
