Nov, 2002 : SPS Debuts Private Label Order Management

📅 November 12, 2002 - Supply chain integration service provider SPS Commerce (spscommerce.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched a new product offering designed to help large retailers to automate their private label order management process.

The company's Private Label Order Management Service creates an electronic version of a retailer's product development plan (PDP). Once developed, the retailer and the resource community will have access to the order's status on SPSCommerce.net.
The private label order management service includes: an order template; a system template; an ePDP Factory for creating the online, interactive document; a change manager for validating and propagating changes to online documents; and a message manager.

📅 Nov 13, 2002 - C&W to Exit 12 American Data Centers - Communications company Cable & Wireless reportedly plans to shed 19 of its 42 data centers worldwide, including 12 in the US, as part of its efforts to restructure its global unit. The restructuring will eliminate 3,500 jobs in the unit, which includes Exodus and Digital Island. The company will limit its US business operations to focus on multinational enterprise and service providers. Cable & Wireless did not announce which data centers it would divest, but plans to withdraw in phases over a 12 month period.
