Nov, 2002 : InstallShield Picks Conxion for Delivery

📅 November 25, 2002 - Digital content delivery and managed hosting provider Conxion Corporation (conxion.com) announced on Monday that it has been selected by software deployment tool developer InstallShield Software Corp. to power the digital delivery of its products.

InstallShield provides a variety of installation development and software deployment solutions for software developers and system administrators. The company turned to Conxion for support following several spikes in demand resulting from product launches. Conxion's FTL service, says the company, will reduce strain on InstallShield's internal system by providing bandwidth as needed through Conxion's dedicated FailSafe network.
Available for either shared or dedicated server platforms, Conxion's FTL requires no special programming or operating system, and offers easy monitoring and tracking of performance statistics.
"InstallShield is a great example of the combination cost-savings and performance benefits of using our FTL service for digital delivery, because InstallShield requires massive bandwidth, but not all the time," says Bill Dyer, Conxion's senior vice president of sales & marketing. "Our network can provide that bandwidth on an as-needed basis, which keeps performance up and costs down."
