Jan 22, 2003 : Telus Mobility Moves to ADC Software

📅 January 22, 2003 - Network equipment manufacturer ADC (adc.com) announced on Tuesday that Canadian telecom carrier TELUS is installing ADC's Metrica Performance Manager for its TELUS Mobility wireless network across Canada.

Metrica Performance Manager, says ADC, will be rolled out across TELUS's multi-vendor, multi-technology network, which includes iDEN, CDMA, SMS, prepaid and Signal Transfer Point network technologies.
ADC says TELUS picked its performance management solution following a competitive review of solutions. TELUS picked Metrica based on its capabilities for performing complex real-time analysis of large volumes of performance data from a variety of technologies, which will give TELUS an end-to-end view of its network.
"TELUS Mobility represents a significant win for Metrica," said David Heaps, senior vice president of ADC's Software Systems Business Unit. "We've had great success with GSM and now Metrica Performance Manager takes that success to the next level for iDEN, CDMA and other 2.5G and 3G technologies. TELUS Mobility's desire to standardize a performance manager solution across all its network technologies makes Metrica Performance Manager an ideal solution for them as well as a wonderful opportunity for us."
